Dudes, I OWN TOO MUCH SHIT. Such as this shirt, which I will now pronounce the ugliest fucking article of clothing in the history of ever. I bought it at my first GGD concert. I was fifteen and did not know any better. I remember they were selling a lot of other cute shit at that show, some really adorable yellow and pink girly shirts that I have never seen since. Unfortunately, I was not smart enough to buy one of those. I bought this. And then it went directly into my closet and was never worn until about fifteen minutes ago, just for the sake of this picture.
This shirt is hideous. That is maybe not the nicest thing to say, since it’s basically a picture of the band. But the band is not hideous, just the shirt. They look airbrushed onto it, like some cheap portrait you would buy at the mall. John’s head is almost life-sized, and it’s staring at me as I write this, and I’m just getting really freaked out. The back of the shirt lists all the cities they were at, except I guess it was just for the first leg of the ‘99 tour, and I saw them later in the year, so my city isn’t even listed. There is no reason for me to own this. There is no reason for anyone to own this. Unfortunately, I seem to make a habit out of acquiring shit that no one has any business owning.
Some of you might want to argue this point. Some of you might think, “Oh he is working that guyliner, that is a hot looking shirt.” But unless you are a fifteen year old girl, please trust me when I tell you that this shirt is horrifying, and John’s pastel, soft-focus eyes are sucking out my soul as we speak.
